1. Use your Chevy key (not the key fob/remote transmitter) to unlock your vehicle manually.
2. Make sure you fully shut all your doors, then insert the key into the ignition. Do not start your car.
3. Press and hold the unlock button on the door panel of your driver’s side door, then turn your key to the “On” position. The interior lights and radio in your Chevy will turn on, but the engine should not be on.
4. Revert the key to the “Off” position again, then turn it “On” and then “Off” once again in rapid succession. (On – Off – On – Off)
5. Release the unlock button on your driver’s side door.
6. Upon releasing the unlock button, you should hear your Chevy door locks engage and disengage. This means the programming sequence can begin. If you don’t hear this, you’ll likely have to repeat steps 1-5 again as you may have done something in error along the way.
7. Once you hear the door locks engage and disengage, you’ll want to press and hold the “Unlock” and “Lock” buttons at the same time until you hear them engage and disengage once more. This indicates successful Chevy key fob programming!
8. Re-insert the newly programmed key into the ignition in the “On” position to complete the key fob programming process.
